Our role in offering professional development opportunities for staff across the housing sector has never been more vital and you will play a crucial part in developing our awarding organisation and professional standards brand and associated offer.
This role involves leading the work of both our regulated awarding organisation/end point assessment organisation, including taking on the role of responsible officer; and our professional standards team who look after our professional standards, criteria and codes of conduct and ethics. Key to this will be ensuring our products and services meet regulatory requirements and also meet the needs of our customers and the housing sector as a whole; exploiting new technologies to ensure an efficient and effective service.
In addition, you will play a vital role in ensuring the future direction of our products and services to support the continuing professional development requirements of members. The housing sector is currently working to a significant professionalism agenda, with the expectation of mandatory qualifications for specific staff in housing management roles, so there will be opportunities to work with input from government, regulators, and housing sector organisations to shape our education provision and standards for the future.
We are looking for a highly adept professional with experience of working with regulated qualifications, developing standards, and designing fit for purpose assessments, alongside an understanding of the commercial environment in which an awarding organisation and professional body operates.
A big part of this role is developing robust, valid, and current products and then offering them in a pragmatic, commercial, agile way to our members and the wider housing sector. To achieve this, you will have the pleasure of working with our highly skilled, experienced teams across CIH and with a wide range of external stakeholders.
